Sebastian Giglio BE (Hons) Mech

Sebastian has an Honours Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Adelaide and is a member of the Institute of Engineers Australia. His main area of expertise is Building Acoustics but his 14 years of experience encompasses environmental, road traffic, industrial and occupational noise.

He joined Wilkinson Murray Pty Limited in 2002 as Senior Engineer. His Building Acoustics experience has been developed through involvement in projects such as the ANA Hotel, Intercontinental Hotel Redevelopment, Fiji Hilton, Seachange Five-Star Acoustical Apartments, Atlab THX Theatre, Sir Moses Montefiore Nursing Home, numerous multi-residential projects affected by transport noise (traffic, rail, aircraft), numerous field acoustic tests on walls and floors and design of Music Studios for schools and musicians.

He has also worked as the Principal Acoustical Consultant to several building material manufacturer's over a number of years, including CSR Gyprock, CSR Hebel, CSR Bradford, PGH, Boral Masonry, James Hardie, Ultrafloor, Tontine Industries, and the Timber Development Association. Other projects include Parramatta to Chatswood Rail Link EIS Noise and Vibration Impact Assessments, Harris Park Y-Link, SANIP (Sydney Schools Aircraft Noise Insulation Project), Acoustic barrier design for the M4 and M5, occupational noise studies, pub / club noise investigations and consulting on gymnasium fitouts in commercial buildings.
